NEXT RACE: SATURDAY JUNE 3RD, 2017 WESTMINSTER, COLORADO REGISTER NOW!
Youth Course
Adults and kids are different. So why would any event use part of an adult course for kids?
We don’t! We have a completely separate youth course to maximize safety (age, height, length and difficulty level are all considered). The youth course includes different versions, depending upon age. The youngest kids (4-6 year olds) will go first and must run with an adult. Their course is 2.70 km in length and includes 9 fun obstacles. The 4-6 year old waves are limited to 30 kids per wave. The 7-9 years olds (running without an adult) use the same course and will work with each other (and our fabulous volunteers) to manage the obstacles. They also have increased wave sizes – so bring friends! The 10-13 year olds will run a bit further with a total course length of 2.75 km and an extra challenging and muddy obstacle making use of the natural river!
Like the adult course, the youth course is designed to help build a sense of camaraderie and community. The obstacles are creative and fun and use the natural topography to test physical, mental and emotional fitness. After last year’s success, we fully expect all kids to be appropriately challenged and to have an awesome and rewarding experience — but this year they will also have lots more mud!!!
Race Day registration is available for any waves that are not sold out, click on “Sign Up” to Register.

Top SIX reasons to stay at the Westin before and/or after HAN:
1. Warm showers!
2. Walk to your room. Course runs either through or around hotel, so no driving is required to race. Great for our out of town or state racers.
3. Katchina Mexican Grill is located in the hotel and is a terrific restaurant in its own right. You can walk to dinner and just need to take the elevator to the first floor. This is great for tired racers.
4. Give your self a stay-cation or family weekend and race Colorado’s Best Obstacle Mud Race.
5. Make it a weekend event, rather than single day and race Hard As Nails Obstacle Mud Race on Saturday and then do laps on the Colorado Wilderness Slip And Slide on Sunday.
6. The Westin has created a great discount lodging program for race participants.
Now Available! Opportunities for discounted lodging can be found at The Westin Westminster Hotel.
Donate your old running shoes to One World Running at the end of the race! Your shoes will raise funds for our charity partner and become recycled as footwear.
One World Running will be located close to the adult finish area at the end of the race.
One World Running’s Mission Statement: “One World Running is an international program promoting an awareness of health, fitness and nutrition by providing running shoes to those in need in the United States and around the world. We also put on 5K walk/runs to foster an environment of exercise and to increase understanding and goodwill between people.”
